    This senior management position, reporting to the Executive Director, is responsible for all technology supporting retirement benefits administration, serving 140 employers and over 400,000 participants, and the investment of a significant ($60+ billion) diversified trust fund. Led Agency IT strategy, systems development, network operations, information security, vendor management, and multiple simultaneous projects. Served as the chief information security officer of the Agency, encompassing considerable personal and health information, and was a sounding board for IT security policies in overall State government. Successfully oversaw the development, deployment, and ongoing improvement of the Maryland Pension Administration System, a complex application and one of the largest IT projects in the State, along with other initiatives, consistently on-schedule and under budget. Partnered with business unit leaders across the Agency in re-engineering major business operations and implementing advanced IT solutions to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service to participants. Highly-rated speaker at industry conferences, on topics such as project management and IT security, and elected President of the Public Retirement Information Systems Management association for the USA and Canada.
