LiveText was acquired by Watermark. At LiveText my primary collaborations took place with Higher Education thought-leaders in the area of authentic assessment for learning. Knowledge of progressive and innovative practices as well as partner feedback were a primary source for iterative development. The products developed at LiveText included “Via” and the “Assessment Insight System” which represented core functionality to support Watermark’s vision for “Educational Intelligence.”The partnerships I established at Universities, Colleges, and with National Agency Leadership helped define LiveText’s core business focus.I developed our sales organization and modeled methods for identifying, securing and sustaining enterprise client partnerships before owning product development efforts. I worked closely with Thoughtworks (leaders in Agile Product Development) to oversee the development, testing, reiteration and launch of 3 distinct products that became a centerpiece of Watermark’s acquisition and market strategy.

In 2006 many universities were not yet involved in direct assessment for learning. While standardized benchmark exams were commonplace, my goal was to explore acceptance of authentic measures that reflected a student’s holistic journey. The Partnerships established at Universities, Colleges, and with National Agency Leadership helped define LiveText’s core business focus.I developed our consultative sales organization and modeled methods for identifying, securing and sustaining enterprise client partnerships. In 2015, I was asked to serve as the Product Owner for all development efforts. During my three years in this role, I worked closely with Thoughtworks (leaders in Agile Product Development and especially gifted in their focus of developing women in tech) to oversee the creation, testing, reiteration and launch of 3 distinct products that became a centerpiece of Watermark’s acquisition and eventual market strategy.-Over 10 years of rich client relationships serving as key advisor in change management initiatives-Keynote speaker and co-presenter with University leadership (nationally and internationally) on learning, engagement, and change-Led efforts to align product & market through strategic engagements

An experimental start-up under the TPR umbrella. I was brought on to oversee the hiring, development and certification of teachers in the delivery of a new k-12 curriculum designed to support supplemental tutoring in Math and Language Arts to support No Child Left Behind legislation that was coming on the horizon.-Oversaw compliance toward District contracts and Federal legislation -Set standard for hiring and developed formal and informal training and assessments for quality assurance-Participated in local, district, and federal meetings to offer visibility into the practical implementation of legislation -Lean startup with reporting to COO-Consultation to other state markets wanting to replicate business-Built succession plan and hired key roles to sustain operation prior to exiting The culture of The Princeton Review during these years afforded me an opportunity to use my degree and nurture my entrepreneurial spirit. NCLB was a theory and the practical implementation was volatile. I regularly attended discussions at the local and district levels, participated in interviews initiated by school administration councils and federal government task forces. TPR invested in the development and redevelopment of our curriculum and certification programs to address changing mandates and standards while remaining committed to methods for improving learning. My biggest take-away? Accountability in education is a shared responsibility, and commitment to an authentic culture for learning cannot find motivation in compliance alone.

"The Progressive School"Awesome, incredible, rare learning/teaching experiences. Co taught pre-kindergarten and 8th grade humanities. My classes were made up of dynamic and gifted children from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. I participated in the development and facilitation of multidisciplinary units that were high impact and genuinely rewarding learning experiences for us all. Students, faculty, parents, university administration, and members of the community at-large were actively engaged. Students learned to take an active role in their learning. My experiences at Baker were phenomenal.
