Designed and manufactured Rotating Detonation Engines where they were implemented into custom flow facilities. Theorized, calculated, operated, and post-processed multiple sets of conclusive quantitative data sets within a Rotating Detonation Engine. Created a high-pressure fluidized bed seeder to lift particles evenly distributed into a Rotating Detonation Engine. Calculated diffusive and kinetic burn times of solid/liquid particles and operated multiple multi-phase reactant tests within a Rotating Detonation Engine (Carbon Black, Sub-bituminous Coal, JetA, and other organic materials). Created advanced diagnostic capabilities within a highly volatile environment by using advanced laser techniques (Particle Image Velocimetry, Filter-Intensified Chemiluminescence) to measure local and global gas flow properties. Developed an image processing code of High-speed images to compute Detonation Wave Velocities rotating in a Rotating Detonation Engine annulus. Troubleshot day-to-day electrical, pneumatic, software, and mechanical issues to meet deliverables to major organizations (DOE, Aerojet, DOD).

Implemented several modulations to a flow facility that utilized Nanosecond-Pulsed High-Frequency Discharges to efficiently ignite flowing mixtures of CH4 and Air. Assessed efficiency of flowing ignition kernels growth rates within MATLAB by use of post-processing z-pass Schlieren using High-Speed Imaging. Theorized previously established knowledge and gathered new quantitative information to craft a definite increase to CH4/Air ignition, where an increase of ignited kernel size by 33% was realized as opposed to the less efficient counterpart.

Designed an experimental setup with a team of four graduate students to research flame blowout under turbulent vitiated flow in a ramjet afterburner. Learned basic mechanics of Actuators and Transducers, as well as lasing apparatuses to provide excitation for PLIF/PIV particles to study flame dynamics
