In this hybrid role, I was responsible for the strategy and growth of the EESI Group across Australia, NZ, the UK and also into the Middle East.I also continued to deliver a techical role with numerous environmental investigations of former industrial facilities, landfill sites, and former gaswork sites. I was extensively involved in the remediation of a number of gaswork sites throughout Australia and the UK. It was at this time that I also developed and started successfully rolling out the "Ian Brookman Ping Pong Interview Method" - which is now widely copied...!Responsibilities included:» Preparation and implementation of national business development strategy for both environmental consultancy and remediation contracting business. » Development of annual budget for Australasian BD and marketing activities, including Corporate Business Development.» Key account management. Built relationships and identified new business opportunities at all stages of the value chain. Worked with all staff on the conversion of prospects to proposals and finally to projects.» Project direction of soil and ground water sampling and remediation programs. Mentored junior staff and assisted other project managers to write and issue professional reports, tenders and proposals.
