The steam turbine of the first six units Boiler manufactured by Babcook has capacity of 150 MW when the ABB turbine working on condensing mode, but when the unit operates on Extraction Mode to feed Desalination unit (12.5 MIGD) its capacity is 131 MW The operations of Power and Desalination units through Human Interface System (HMI). The Phase "IBE" is Combined Cycle consists of two gas turbines and one steam turbine The gas turbine is Frame 9 operated through Mark 5 has capacity of 110 MW and the steam turbine capacity of 147 MW, there are two Heat Recover Steam Generators (HRSG), each receives the exhaust of its own gas turbine in addition to duct burners to produce the required steam for the steam turbine and three desalination units of capacity 7.5 MIGD each.New B Extention, SIEMENS 3xSGT5 4000 Gross Output/Unit 237 MW at RSC Back Pressure Steam Turbine Gross Steam Output 330 MW• Doing start- up for power units from cold, warm and hot conditions this includes boiler, turbine and the generator taking into consideration the technical basis, also doing shutdown for the power unit as request of Load Dispatch Centre.• Keeping the units running safely according to technical basis during normal and emergency conditions.• Keeping the generator and step-up transformer parameters during normal and emergency operation within operating limits.• Implementing all the isolation for any equipment from control room and supervise local isolation work for permit to work.• Issuing work requests for units problems to all maintenance sections mechanical, electrical and instrumentation/control through maximo program.• Perform also as HSE Engineer with the responsibility of ensuring the safety and security of the unit.
