Being the SW Engineering Manager, I was responsible for guiding cross-functional teams of up to 10 engineers to excel in their jobs and work together to achieve the team's goals, while also mentoring them to develop themselves and continuously build their careers.During these four years, as their team and technical leader, I was the connection between development and leadership teams, assisting them with technical and conceptual questions; playing the scrum master and project manager roles; and recruiting, setting up, and training new employees.As Libring's System Architect, I became responsible for having the technical big picture of both the data structure and the web application as a whole. I was to know what the system could and could not do, and be capable of quantifying and time estimating the development of new features and modules, while also designing and often implementing new data structures and code modules.In this period, I designed and implemented an automated data pipeline that supports parallel and concurrent job submissions to replace a slow and precarious data collection system, hence reducing the time spent on individually extracting and processing new data by 60%, and increasing the processable volume of data by several hundred percents due to data structure improvements, code optimization, and parallelism. It also significantly increased development team productivity thanks to reduced lines of code and modularization.

I became a permanent full-time employee after I have excelled in my summer internship. I was accountable for pretty much the same tasks but had much more responsibility. This was actually great, once I was able to help Libring grow and innovate, truly proving myself as an indispensable asset of the company.As early growth businesses, startups require their members to perform diverse activities beyond their primary roles, and with me, it was no different, as I have helped with the company's needs on project management, customer success, and system architecture areas.Working remotely required a lot of discipline to keep me at the top of my game. I designed and built my home office in a way to avoid distractions and optimize my productivity and I learned I had to detach my professional life from my personal life creating a structured routine in order to help my mind and body to adapt to this new working environment. This was a great experience for me; I enjoyed all the benefits of working from home without sacrificing my productivity or my satisfaction at work.
