Employed as CAD Operations manager i was tasked in setting up and revitalizing the CAD department at Browns from 2008 to 2010. From purchasing new equipment through to developing standards for the department I had 4 staff reporting to me. The department became more autonomous and this lead to me becoming Senior CAD operator. New designs and design solutions where developed to facilitate the casting and cleaning departments of the factory. Implementing 3D scanners for gemstones further reduced stone check failures to 3%, from 35% in 2010. CAD is now used exclusively for all client custom jobs. I currently am the lead concept designer on new ranges, defining the 'language' in CAD for any future designs of the ranges. I was sent to Basel in 2009 to find new technologies to improve the factory. A 35 page report lead to the purchase of new Rapid Prototyping technology, and subsequently production time was reduced by 70%.

Initially employed as sales person and designer, i was promoted to Mechandise Design Coordinator. I was technical adviser to the design team due to my training as a jewellery designer and manufacturer. My technical skills lead to a training session in Germany with Siro-Lasertec to later train staff in laser engraving systems locally. I received further training in building and designing CAD jewellery pieces. this in turn lead to the development of the company's CAD department. Early in my career i completed a course in Desktop Publishing and did mock ups for all the Shimansky ad campaigns, and later shop layouts.
