A passion project born from a lifelong conviction of the healing power of horses and a strong commitment to serving people at risk. Berkshire HorseWorks™ (a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization) provides EAGALA Model Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and life skill development for individuals, families, veterans, and at-risk youth in New England. The nonprofit integrates horses in ground-based activities into the therapeutic process. The facility is located on a bucolic 8 acre ranch in Richmond, Massachusetts with multiple barns, outdoor paddocks, an organic garden, a vernal spring, hiking trails and meditative hamlets for yoga and mindfulness.• Leveraged extensive marketing and pr expertise to build and ensure successful market entry of new nonprofit in a region that has more nonprofits per capita than in any other area in the country.• Spearheaded all strategic marketing, public relations, fundraising, program and budget development. • Maximized marketing exposure and cultivated good will in the area by consummating strategic partnerships with local banks and financial service companies and community organizations such as Girls Inc!, Pittsfield House of Corrections, Austin Riggs, Cranwell Resort, Marriott, and Hillcrest Educational Centers.• Garnered the support of government agencies, tourism boards, Chambers of Commerce, and elected officials for programs serving veterans and those formerly incarcerated. • Created innovative Equine Assisted Team building curriculum to help organizations of all kinds build cohesion, cultivate problem-solving skills and develop leadership initiatives. • Served wide range of corporate clients including Comcast companies, Bain Capital, Mountain One Financial Services, Mass Mutual Insurance, and Canyon Ranch.• Targeted group sales executives at area hotels, conferences in drive-and-fly-in cities, creating brand ambassadors and driving sell-ins for leadership training.
