As a process engineer, I contributed to the development of a reliable process. Thin films process: PVD, CVD, Sol-Gel, and Epitaxy. Synthesis and solution formations, Packaging and Testing.Repeatability testing, and characterization. Improving yield and throughput of the wafer, 10x cost savingsRebuild fab from scratch after downsizing and restructuring. The company merged with an existing photonics business from japan 1. Particulate improvement 10x 2. Uniformity sustained ± 25nm3. Solution formulation - reduced process time by 50% 4. Prost dicing and polishing. Automated the process - Reducing the need for a resource person 5. Fab output - 2x increase in output with efficient processing and scheduling

Graduate Research And Teaching Assistant
-
2007 - 2013
The first student of the research group, establishing a new research ecosystem R&D focussing on Multifunctional Oxides: Thin films, Ceramics, Devices, and Testing.Dissertation - I conceptualized, designed, and built a unique testing capability to study photo voltaic (light sensing capability) for PZT-based ferroelectric materials. Why unique - This unit was fully automated and capable of multiple testing abilities (I-V, CV, Impedance, Hysteresis, and Poling) with automated temperature control, Additionally included a lock-in amplifier and QE detector. (Sources could be switched to study UV or IR properties). Data acquisition was fully automatic. This work resulted in 8 publications and a patent, along with numerous conference manuscripts. Experienced in a wide range of materials processing , Clean tech processing, device processing including PLD, PED, Sputter, E-beam, Thermal PVD, CVD, solution-based, spin coating, RTP, ceramic processing, high-temperature sintering, and more. In various structural characterization techniques, such as X-Ray, AFM, AGM, VSM, PPMS, SEM, TEM, and XPS.I served as the President of the American Vacuum Society - the University of Alabama Chapter from 2009-2010.

Lab Master | Fab Operations in charge
-
Jan 2008 - May 2012
Experience in designing and building complex systems from scratch. One of my most notable accomplishments was building a 4-target (dc and rf) sputtering systemCryo-supported, multilayer thin film deposition capabilities (Magnetic tunnel Junctions, MTJs)This work was selected/special mention for the "student-built vacuum system" competition at the AVS-American Vacuum Society Conference 2010.In addition to this, I have also worked as a research assistant at a magnetic thin film lab where I gained hands-on experience using advanced processing tools such as a fully automated “shamrock” sputter toolFurthermore, I have managed a class 1000 Cleanroom facility, where I was responsible for daily operations, safety compliance, and training. My experience in managing and operating such facilities ensures that I am well-equipped to handle complex operations in a safe and efficient manner.
