Responsible for financial reporting and compliance by ensuring that all group entities' financial transactions are correctly captured/processed (including managing the various finance team members and end-to-end accounting functions). In order to drive continuous improvement, guide juniors, correct possible historic issues and to assure the alignment of systemsi.e. from a financial data perspective. There is a mix of transactional, analytical, and special project work, with the challenge and variety that comes from working for a complex group business structure.-Manage the various Finance teams within the group structure with 4 direct reports consisting of each entity’s Accountants -Support the Finance team with technical and processing advice, training/guidance-Review the various entities' financial processing, ensuring that daily tasks, month-end duties and management report packs (executed by juniors) are completed accurately and within the required time frames;(FAR, COGS, SOH values) - Take full responsibility for each entity's monthly, bi-monthly and annual tax/reporting - Assist the Accountants in formulating and implementing budgets (OPEX & CAPEX) by examining/analysing data supplied by them- Update and consolidate (and where necessary compile) operational spend reports for group level analysis purposes, such as vehicle listings, divisional credit card expenditure, fuel consumption costs, telephone charges and office & staff grocery purchases etc. - Provide advice, insight and support to other Head of Departments whilst still maintaining positive relationships (Finance Business Partnering) , adapt budgets, translate complex financial data into clear and concise messages to a non-financial audience as well as foster an environment of collaboration and effective communication. -Assist Senior Management with developing and implementing individual KPIs and staff incentive/reward & recognition programmes, in relation to the Finance Team.
