    I completed a years placement at The Walt Disney Company as part of the Studios Team. My title was EMEA Product Management Intern. I worked across a wide variety of studios within the business including, Live-Action, ABC TV, Marvel Studios, Marvel TV, Lucasfilm and Catalogue. My role was diverse and allowed for personal development of skills. • I was required to liaise with the operations and product management teams, both globally and locally to facilitate the creation of masters for DVD & Blu-ray for EMEA• Manage the dates and windows of all EMEA markets and prepare windowing documentation for a bi-monthly review with the Studios Senior Vice President • Managing and facilitating the creation of business reports and presentations for use by both internal and external stakeholders throughout the Disney business• Managing communication with colleagues in North America, EMEA markets, Franchise teams and other lines of business in an effective manner. I was a key contact for all licensee markets for any queries or day-to-day tasks• Provide relevant schedule, P&L and strategy information for WDSHE product to the relevant Walt Disney Company stakeholders and other Global & Local colleagues• Comparing and gathering sales information around competing Studios releases to provide the team with insight into the overall market environment. Alongside this looking into competitors strategy and marketing changes to drive sales and whether these were effective • Assist the EMEA Product Management team to drive product and franchise strategy plans alongside best practise and operational guidelines for all DVD and Blu-ray releases across EMEA• Continually strive to improve and streamline operations and systems that were in use by the entire team. During my role I worked alongside the US software team to develop ideas and bring them to life within the internal systems.

    Over a month I worked within the marketing team to gain experience over the summer. I was working within the property market, and assisting the team with day to day activities. . I was placed with the head of marketing which allowed me to enter corporate meetings with design departments, media and the senior heads of the company as well as doing hands on work with the rest of the marketing team. • I learnt new skills, such as designing an email campaign for the companies’ foreign hotel markets. I was able to design and alter the layout for a Spanish campaign before sending it out to all the stakeholders and potential buyers. • It has given me an insight into how marketing works and has allowed me to develop skills such as creativity though the design process, and organisation through being given responsibility over various tasks.
