There are two main problems in laminated shaly sand formation, low contrast of resistivity and unmatched saturation water with the petrophysical calculation. The outcome of this research is to recommend the Asset Team in evaluating LSS formation by using RT Scanner Tool and Larionov equation to determine the resistivity.
