UCLA Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is one of the largest student run techcommunities in Los Angeles and the biggest computer science club at UCLA. ICPC is programming competition branch within ACM. My duty as an ICPC officer is to host competitions, prepare members for ICPC, and teach UCLA students about competitive programming. Hosting competitions involves creating websites for registration, contacting sponsors, and marketing.

I taught a 3 day python bootcamp, totaling 27 hours of instruction time, in the bay area for CoderCentral, a non-profit company. At first, we struggle to get students. In order to get students to sign up for this camp, I along with a team of 3 engineers created http://codercentral.org website. We were able to get over 50 sign ups within a week.During camp, I taught 24 students both python and general object oriented programming techniques. Generated over 10,000 dollars in revenue during the 3 day bootcamp.

I was in charge of measuring the absorbance of the particles created by other lab members. To accomplish this, I assembled, calibrated and operated a spectrometer to test the energy level of the particles and measure the amount of light absorbed. After recording and analyzing data, I reported all the data to graduate students and the professor on time. I used Ocean Optics, Capstone, and Excel to do statistical analysis and used LaTex to create a well organized report of the data.
