Four years ago I was hired as a Placement Consultant in the Hobart MAX Employment office. Picking up the role fairly quickly, I was soon entrusted with managing our outreach sites, which meant I was required to rotate travelling to four small communities and service our clients in those areas, on a fort nightly basis whilst continuing to manage my caseload at the Hobart branch. I also took over the Pre Release Prisoner Program for a short time, where I would travel out to Risdon Prison and assist inmates that were eligible to work, find employment. A short time after this, I was promoted to a Team Leader role within the company. I was then given the opportunity to be Acting Business Manager for the Bridgewater Branch which saw me take on new challenges, and develop further into this leadership role. Following the completion of this short term contract, I remained at the Bridgewater Branch as Team Leader and manage the the site from this position. This was based off my success and professionalism during my term as Acting BM. Since my commencement at Bridgewater, this site has flourished from 1 Star (within the Disability Employment Services contract) to 3 Stars. The job active contract Star Ratings are yet to be released, however internal reports predict we will go very well.Other duties include:•Managing two contracts simultaneously; Disability Employment Services (DES) and jobactive Employment Services.• Monthly budgeting and revenue forecasting.• Supporting staff with meeting their KPI’s, whilst also ensuring the site target is met for placements, outcomes and revenue.• Maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders including employers, to ensure successful outcomes are achieved, and repeat business can be offered.• Creating reports from statistical information for higher management, daily.• 2015 - Attending the leadership Conference in the Blue Mountains.• Change managed the site into the jobactive contract.
