      As a graduate intern at the lunar and planetary institute, I participated in a group project which addressed knowledge gaps in lunar exploration science. Our team looked at the trafficability of areas of interest on the Moon, to inform lunar rover engineers. In particular we identified and measured boulder tracks in pyroclatic deposits and permanently shadowed regions (PSRs) of the Moon. Measurements of these tracks were used to infer geomechanical properties of the soil.My contributions included reviews and applications of bearing capacity formulae for boulder track analysis. I also worked on a novel approach to taking measurements in permanently shadowed regions (PSRs) of the Moon.
