    I worked as an assistant accountant to one of the head accountants at Vehicle direct Ltd. My role got me involved in:- Utilising Xero (Accounting software) to store, analyse and record financial information off the company.- Bank reconciliations; company accounts for credit cards, employee expenses, and commissions- Maintain Accounts Payable and Receivable.- Keeping the Sales sheet updated- Assisted with monthly and quarterly income statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports to inform decision-making- taking calls about any queries from suppliers about payments.My time at Vehicle Direct taught me to be organised, to manage multiple tasks per day, and to plan so that we can fulfil both our long-term and short-term objectives. The position also taught me the importance of communication amongst peers by having me call the sales team with questions about payments and other anomalies that may arise within the sales sheet - teaching me vigilance and how to pay attention to the smallest details.
