    I developed a Power Point presentation designed to help people identify a person's needs based upon observable behaviors. It was presented to the Susquenita School District, but has not really taken off. I used to consult in various aspects of human resources focusing upon training, performance, management, and corporate climate when I was with Ideal Basic Industries. I know what it is like to be a "golden boy" with sky high potential--too bad I ended up "reduced-in-force" and the company went belly up before those dreams were realized.

    My responsibilities can be generalized in two main areas. Most importantly, I proactively approach customers to assist in locating product and offer suggestions to complete meals. Also very important is to ensure innovative and appealing merchandising and stocking of products to drive department sales. I am quickly gaining the reputation with many of our regulars as a go to person for locating products and have specialized in international products for the past several months. While being a part of the input process for our Computer Assisted Ordering system, I will soon be trained in preparing orders for products not covered in the CAO. I would just like to add that Wegmans is a fantastic place to work. The management team at Wegmans is the best.

    Although this is a part time retail position, I've had customers ask me if I ever get a day off. Ha! It was a pleasure to get to know my regular customers and to work with the great crew at OfficeMax. Even during the slow times, there were plenty of things to do. I like the fact that the store's customer ratings went from under 70% to over 90%, thanks in great part to my personal efforts in treating every customer as a welcomed guest and asking nearly every one of them to participate in our store's survey. Of course it did help that our management team was dedicated to providing excellent service as well. I learned a great deal about merchandising and customer service from these good folks.

    I worked with special needs students in the classroom setting through the district's Special Education department. Specifically, I provided direct Life Skills Support for a student with Traumatic Brain Injury. The lad had a great sense of humor which made the days go by quickly. It was a challenge to keep him on task and motivated, as he complained more than anyone I've ever known about almost every assignment. Caring for his academic and personal needs kept me on my toes. It was an honor to work with the teachers and staff at East Pennsboro Area High School.

    Officially I was called a "Guest Teacher," but a rose by any other name still smells the same. I provided for the supervision and education of students upon the absence of their regular teacher. Classroom management is much more challenging for substitutes than it is for regular teachers who hold the power of the grade. It was easy to tell which teachers were effective, as they were the ones who left clear lesson plans and they generally had better behaved students.

At the High School I also was responsible for daily reports for student progress and was trained in Safe Crisis Management.

    I was a relief lead at several attractions/rotations. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea had over twenty crew in a shift where I had to coordinate breaks, rotations, crowd control, quality of the show, attraction cleanliness, appropriate queuing for the wait times. At Skyway, I had two main station rotations to coordinate, Tomorrow Land and Fantasyland. We had to keep a vigilant eye on weather conditions and worked closely with other attractions and crowd control for parade events. The Toad and Snow White rotations were pretty easy, except that Toad and Snow White had a tendency to get off track. All the cast members were terrific to work with and the crowds could be a lot of fun for someone as outgoing as me. I later Rejoined Disney as an Operator at Jungle Cruise where we could use discretion regarding the script we were to follow, which made it more interesting and fun for the guests.
