       Chemist in a product development and testing laboratory, for a multinationalcorporation, working with up to 15 or more domestic and foreign colleagues/team members. Conduct formula research, development, and both test and verify performance in hardsurface cleaning, hydrogen sulfide scavenging, and vessel decontamination. Research and verify requirements for developing and manufacturing products for novelmarket segments. Characterize client’s job requirements and issue technical reports with product andprocedural recommendations. Characterize and identify pre- and post-handling properties of formulated products includingsuch properties as rates of corrosion, emulsion stability, and throughput and wastewatercharacteristics Provide technical advice and product recommendations to sales personnel and customerson a weekly basis applying detailed understanding of client’s needs and product safetyrequirements Provide professional advice in support of client’s site operations as well as view locationsand support technical meetings with consultation or presentations where needed orrequired. Manage quality control and process implementation ensuring all products are consistentlyproduced. Annual product gap analysis and development of gap closure strategies ensuring companymaintains competitive product lines. Using project management principles, develop shutdown/turnaround procedures andrecommendations, perform on-site analysis for successful job completion, perform post- application review for process deficiencies, and author case-studies for internal and external reference. Research and develop job monitoring techniques for novel shutdown/turnaround projects. Author technical presentations, product documents, training and marketing literature, and safety manual content.
