At NIH, I assimilated to a STEM workplace and learned how to adapt to a professional environment. I joined a team that was focused on understanding how macaques' brain respond to naturalistic visual stimuli. My responsibility was to code the videos that they showed to the macaques, and label the different categories of visual stimuli within each frame of the video. At the end of my internship, I created a poster about the project and presented to other researchers. At my time in the lab, I joined my team's weekly meetings and learned about the relevant scientific background to the project. I learned how to interact with everyone in my lab, and created lasting relationships with my fellow coworkers and mentor.
