    Studied carbon nanotube fabrication for terahertz and transistor applications and received 2nd Place Prize for Outstanding Research for my presentation at the Rice Quantum Institute 2012. I also published paper in student research journal, Scientia.During my fellowship, I was also very fortunate to have the opportunity to visit Minami-Sanriku, a town that was demolished by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. The Tohoku disaster was also what caused the nuclear accident at Fukushima. Seeing the disaster's impact firsthand informed my opinion of what happened there, outside of how it was presented in the media.
