As a Content Specialist, I am responsible for ensuring that the content produced by the Content Loaders meets the standards outlined in the Wetu Content Guidelines. This includes reviewing their work on a daily basis and providing feedback on any necessary corrections. In addition, I monitor Help Scout and assist clients when the volume of tickets becomes overwhelming. I also work on longer content lists that have been in the queue for an extended period of time to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content to clients. As part of my role, I produce monthly progress reports on the content loaders I am responsible for moderating in order to help them identify areas for improvement. I may also be assigned miscellaneous tasks, such as testing new systems that may benefit the team. In addition to these duties, I provide assistance to content loaders when they encounter difficulties in understanding client requests.

After completing a successful three-month probationary period, I was offered a permanent position on the Content Team. In this role, I continued to work on Help Scout and assist clients with their content requests, utilizing strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. As a Content Loader, I was consistently praised for my attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work to clients. After a few months in this position, I was presented with the opportunity to apply for a Content Specialist position within the Content Team. I was eager to take on this new challenge and seized the opportunity to further develop my skills and advance my career at Wetu. Through my hard work and dedication, I was successful in securing this position and am now proud to be a Content Specialist on the team. In this role, I continue to strive for excellence and contribute to the success of Wetu through the production of high-quality content for our clients.

I began my career at Wetu as a Content Loader on a three-month probationary period. During this time, I was responsible for completing content lists assigned to me by my team leader and ensuring that the completed listings were sent to clients in a timely and accurate manner. After a few weeks of performing this role, I was given the opportunity to work on Help Scout, where I was responsible for directly communicating with clients and loading content onto the system. This required strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. After demonstrating my capabilities during my three months probation period, I was offered a permanent position on the Content Team. I am now proud to be a full-time member of this highly skilled and dedicated team, and I look forward to continuing to develop my skills and contribute to the success of Wetu.

As the sole employee at Bluenib Web and Graphic Designs, my day-to-day job was multifaceted and included a wide range of responsibilities. On a typical day, I would start by checking my email and responding to client inquiries or requests for quotes. Next, I would work on designing logos, posters, brochures, business cards, or websites for clients. This would involve researching industry trends, sketching out initial concepts, and using design software to create final versions of the designs. In addition to working on design projects, I also handled all aspects of running the business, including managing finances, marketing, and customer service. This required strong organizational and time management skills to ensure that I was able to juggle all of these tasks effectively. Overall, my job at Bluenib Web and Graphic Designs was both challenging and rewarding, and I enjoyed the opportunity to use my creativity and skills to help clients achieve their design goals.

During my time as an intern with the City of Cape Town – Corporate Services, I had the opportunity to work at the Hillstar Corporate Fleet Workshop in Ottery. In this role, I focused on collecting data on the time mechanics spent servicing vehicles and identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce service time. To accomplish this, I analyzed current processes and made recommendations based on my findings. This required strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to think critically and problem-solve. Through this hands-on experience, I gained valuable insight into the operations of a fleet workshop and developed my analytical and problem-solving skills. I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with the team at Hillstar and believe that this experience will be valuable in my future career. I enjoyed the challenge of finding ways to improve efficiency and am proud of the contributions I was able to make during my time as an intern. Overall, this was a rewarding and valuable experience that I will always look back on with pride.

I also played a crucial role in fundraising efforts, including organizing and executing an Art Exhibition at Old Mutual. In addition to these duties, I was responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for the organization. My role required strong financial management skills, as well as the ability to effectively plan and execute fundraising events. Overall, I am proud of the contributions I made as treasurer to the success of the Student Representative Council.

As a leader with Pride of Table Mountain, I had the opportunity to take groups of students from schools and communities on guided hikes up the Kirstenbosch trail in Claremont. During these hikes, I provided educational presentations on topics such as Fynbos, the local water supply, and indigenous and alien vegetation. This role allowed me to share my knowledge and passion for the environment with others, and I enjoyed being able to contribute to the education and appreciation of nature among the students I worked with. Overall, my experience with Pride of Table Mountain was a rewarding and enriching one.

As a volunteer hiking assistant at Earthchild Project, I assisted with guided hikes in the Table Mountain National Park for students from Sakumlandela Primary School and Zerilda Park Primary School. This role required me to support the lead instructor in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of the students during the hikes, as well as assisting with any educational presentations or activities. Through this opportunity, I was able to contribute to the growth and development of the students while also gaining valuable experience in outdoor education and group leadership.
