During this period I have had the possibility to be involved in several projects regarding robotics, mechatronics and operation:- Responsible of software development of the robotic activities of the MRO section, team leader and supervision of several people, such as students coming for a short-term internship or for the development of their master thesis.- Robotic operator in unplanned robotic remote interventions in hazardous environment. Definition of intervention procedures to minimize personnel exposure to hazards. - Creation and development of the CERN Robotic Framework, a set of complete robotic systems, currently used for the operation of all CERN's robots, which includes, design and creation of the robots electronic low-level control of heterogeneous robotic systems, real-time network communication, robot localization, autonomous behaviours, artificial intelligence and Human-Robot Interaction. As part of my work, I often had to design novel robotic solutions including the robot internal electrical powering system and the development of custom electronic boards for the creation of special sensors (e.g. strain gauges sensor for force detection) to interface them with the robot control system.- Development of modular PLC-based safety supervision system for ISOLDE and MEDICIS robotic target exchange.- Responsible of LHC Collimators Temperature control system update and commissioning and other accelerator systems control- Definition of software development methodologies and good practices for PLC, C++, Python, and Web applications at group level.
