I contributed to the overall technical support and the management of all the nine sub-components of Third Primary Education Programme (PEDP3), US$9.1 billion government Programme, supported by multiple development partners (DPs) that included, SIDA, Australia, DFID, EU, JICA, World Bank, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Canada and UNICEF. It is a 6-year Programme implemented through a Sector Wide Approach (SWAp). The Programme covered the period 2011-2017, with an emphasis on results-based management. UNICEF supported coordination with the Government, Development Partners and the other agencies to ensure effective implementation of the interventions.Areas of responsibilities and accountability:Diploma in Education (DPEd): I worked closely with the Division of Training, Directorate of Primary Education (DPE), the National Academy of Primary Education and the Institute of Educational Research (IER), Dhaka University to coordinate the planning, management, implementation and monitoring of the DPEd interventionInclusive Education: I had the overall responsible for the implementation of the Action Plan on Inclusive Education component of the PEPD3 programme.Communication and Social Mobilization: I was tasked to overse Communication for Development (C4D) component, by coordinaing with the Government and Development Partners in the implementation of the Communication and Social Mobilization strategy and follow up actions.Cross-cutting Tasks: Prepare relevant Programme documents including concept notes, briefing notes and inputs to donor reports of the 3 sub-components; (DPEd), Inclusive Education(IE) and Communication and Social MobilizationI also represented UNICEF BCO on the Joint Donor Consortium Committee(DCC), Quality Working Group (QWG) and Disparity Working Group(DWG).
