    After the successful buy-back from Ohmeda Healthcare, Geoff became the company Director, in 1993, where he was instrumental in forming strong affiliations with major suppliers and manufacturers which to this day, remain core industry partners.     As a Field Service Technician, Geoff's responsibilities included servicing medical equipment throughout Northern Australia. His expertise rapidly evolved to included operational responsibilities including service scheduling for major and regional hospitals, including the Townsville Hospital Renal Unit. Geoff later introduced the Queensland region to the first Reverse Osmosis Plant with reticulated water system unit along with specialised dialysis units.A technical achievement for Geoff was the development of the Medtek Portable Water Treatment Unit (PWTU), used to treat water for use with a dialysis machine. The PWTU was manufactured in Townsville and subsequently purchased by Queensland Health as a solution to purifying water for the home dialysis patient.As a Field Service Technician, Geoff has received specialised training on Cobe, Gambro and Althin Dialysis Equipment. When Ohmeda Healthcare acquired Medtec, Geoff maintained his technical position, later receiving further specialised training on the Ohmeda and Hewlett Packard products including anaesthetic machines, ventilator, monitoring systems, defibrillators, infant-care package and medical gas devices.

    Geoff's career commenced with an Electrical apprenticeship, in 1976, at the Townsville General Hospital and district. In time, Geoff was ultimately responsible for overseeing the service and maintenance of the equipment for this region. A significant promotion to site foreman for a major fit-out for the six level, 440 beds, nurses quarters at the hospital remains a significant career achievement for Geoff.As an electrical apprentice, Geoff's training covered all aspects of facility maintenance including, air-conditioning plants, steam boiler maintenance, electrical installations and appliance repairs. During this phase, Geoff was introduced to medical engineering and became involved with Renal Dialysis Equipment.
