    During my time at BNZ I have progressed from Senior Finance Business Partner for the Business Bank to the Head of Performance Reporting. Responsibilities and achievements include:- Delivery of management information to the BNZ Board, NAB, Executive Team and CFO. - Review and certification of the BNZ investor presentation, results announcement, results media release and associated supporting documents for CFO and CEO.- Review and challenge of BNZ annual and five year strategic plan.- BNZ Chevron (annual award) winner in 2018.- I led the implementation of Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) reporting for the business banking division, delivering a scalable solution accessible to all bankers via an online interface.

    My first role at DB was to establish the finance processes for the newly created Strategic Liquidity Reserve (SLR) in London. At the time of my departure in Jan-17 I was the Global Finance Director responsible for the Global SLR, Issuance and securitisation. Responsibilities / achievements included:• Stress events during 2016 triggered a full review of the SLR portfolio to assess liquidity value, capital demand and supply implications. I was the finance lead on the SLR review and also mitigation strategies executed during the stress period for both the SLR and securitisation portfolios. • Responsible for implementing the global validation and control framework, SOx controls, risk reporting, valuation and appropriate reserving for the SLR, issuance and securitisation books. • IFRS 9 implementation – business models, SPPI testing process and input into whether or not to early adopt changes to hedge accounting pending macro hedge accounting rules. • I lead a review of the sensitivity of DBs banking book to movements in interest rate and credit risk. Action taken as a result of the review included execution of Held to Maturity (HTM) accounting for a portion of the SLR, increased hedge accounting completed to mitigate P&L and Other Comprehensive Income volatility and better alignment of maturity transformation trades with the asset side of the balance sheet.

    My role at RBS was in the Markets and International Banking (MIB) Treasury Decision Support team. Key achievements include:• I modelled the balance sheet, funding and RWA impact of a range of scenarios used used to create the MIB strategy for 2013 and 2014.• Development of a treasury cost allocation model with input from senior finance and business leaders. • Completed a number of knowledge share presentations for front office, senior management and support functions to increase the level of understanding surrounding funding cost allocations and policies. • I worked closely with the Global CFO to develop a metric designed to focus the business on the drivers of unsecured funding. Once the methodology for completing unsecured funding reporting was finalised, I then briefed the relevant business areas to develop MI, create limits, and generally increase awareness and understanding on the importance of RBS having the right mix of secured vs unsecured funding. • Successful documentation and established offshore processing of “production” aspects of balance sheet actual and forecast reporting.• Development of a balance sheet and funding dashboard for presentation to the Executive Committee.

    NZX Limited (“NZX”) operates the New Zealand Stock Exchange and has been recognised by Forbes Magazine as an Asian “Top 200 - Best Under a Billion Company” in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. At NZX I worked on a range of projects across the finance and strategy teams, key responsibilities and achievements are summarised below.Deal ActivityLed or assisted due diligence investigations, DCF forecasting, board papers and integration planning for seven successful acquisitions in New Zealand, Australian, South African and UK. NZX Group audit: Co-leader I was responsible for the preparation and presentation of accounting issues papers for the NZX Audit and Risk Committee. I managed the auditor relationship and was responsible for preparation of the financial statements and commentary for release to the market. Finally, I helped brief the CEO and Head of Market Products for analyst briefings.Board of Directors for Smartshares Limited Smartshares is a 100% owned subsidiary of NZX and the largest passive exchange traded funds provider in New Zealand. As a board member I was responsible for signing-off the investment statement, prospectus and accounts in addition to providing support for a major project to simplify of the funds structure and cost management program. NZX Group Treasury Committee: Secretary – I drafted and implemented NZX Group Treasury Policy. NZX Strategy Committee: MemberThe NZX Strategy Committee had two primary objectives. First, the Committee provided the CEO with a quarterly update on cross-organisational risk. Second, it acted as the first filter for the CEO on proposed projects.
