I also managed Information Communication Technology until August 2017 when it was transferred to another manager so that I could focus on the new Engineering and Construction Skills Centre that opened in September 2017.• Lead and support the development of the curriculum offer working with the teaching team, students and external partners including employers and local authorities to ensure it responds to the needs of the sector both locally and nationally. Through my leadership and collaborative working the recruitment in FT Engineering programmes has increased from around 35 students to 137. Engineering Apprenticeships increased by around 50%. (Apprenticeships have now been centralised within a dedicated department although I still play an active role in recruitment and development.)• Following a review of the Motor Vehicle curriculum and after implementing some key changes the profile of the department has evolved from one group (5 students) of Level 2 learners to 3 groups (40+ students) in September 2015. In September 2017 the Motor Vehicle department added Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance to it programme offer enrolling 8 students in the first year. (All 8 students completed successfully)
