State Government and Local Government agencies as well as Sports Associations and NGO's have commissioned me to deliver these informative and enjoyable 3 hour workshops on over 40 occassions in the last 5 years. The workshops inspire more creative and better run community events and festivals. The concept, 6 workshop booklets and presentation material were all authored by myself.

Garry was Chairman of the Board of the 58 PCYC's in Queensland. This is an $86 million a year social enterprise, operating 130 childcare operations, 30 commercial gyms and over 400 crime prevention programs and 2,000 staff across the State. As Chairman of this 'all volunteer' board, Garry is responsible for delivering much needed youth and crime prevention services from Cooktown, to Toowoomba, to Cunnamulla.

In charge of the start up of a recreation and events branch for Logan City Council the 2nd largest and fastest growing local authority in the State. Major achievements were bringing in a 4 court international standard basketball stadium to completion $600,000 under benchmark price through use of a Design and Construct process and commercialising the operation of a $12million aquatic complex. I also delivered the Sydney Olympics Torch Relay Queens Birthday Celebrations, Logan Youth Arts and Music Festival and directed the delivery of numerous small events such as NAIDOC week, Christmas Carols, Australia Day Celebrations and Shows.

I commenced with OCTU at Wacol and completed my training with 11 Training group in Townsville where I graduated as a 2nd Lieutenant and commissioned into the Royal Australian Engineers and posted to 35 Field Squadron 5FER in Mount Isa as a Troop Commander. After completing the Regimental Officers Engineer Course in Sydney secured a Corp transfer to Infantry as a Platoon Commander with 9 Royal Queensland Regiment serving as a Platoon Commander and concluding my term of service as the depot commander of the 9 RQR Coopers Plains Depot.
