Content Editor
-
2002 - 2020
I was Content Editor (Editor in Chief) of Biblical Illustrator, a quarterly magazine that explores biblical archaeology, history, geography, culture, Greek and Hebrew word studies.→ Increased the magazine from 82 to 98 pages. Doubled the insert from 4 to 8 pages. → Developed Biblical Illustrator PLUS, a CD-ROM that contained the current issue of the magazine plus PDFs of archived articles. This provided a new revenue stream for the magazine and company.→ Developed Biblical Illustrator Bundles, a quarterly resource that provided articles as digital downloads. This convenient resource became a new revenue stream for the magazine and company.→ Developed Biblical Illustrator Photo Gallery, a three-volume PowerPoint resource. The volumes, each of which included over 100 images with photo captions and related Scriptures, explored: The Patriarchs; Jesus' Life and Ministry, Paul's Life and Travels.→ Developed a Time Line of the Bible. This time line was in three parts, two dedicated to the Old Testament and one to the New Testament. The time line originally was an insert in the magazine. It proved so helpful, though, that we received many requests for this as a stand-alone product. The time line was enlarged to over 10 feet, laminated, and sold in LifeWay stores and given to attendees at national Bible study conferences.
