    DUCOR Waste Management engaged in the collection, transfer and disposal of solid waste in market communities and informal settlements in Monrovia. Francis founded the organization to assist poor residents of peri-urban communities address the seemingly intractable solid waste crisis in their neighborhoods. Francis set the vision and mission of the organization and ensured the teams translated the company vision into action. All senior management reported to him. He managed all aspects of the organization. His primary duties included administration and oversight responsibility for ensuring that programs were executed effectively and accurately, and served as the primary point of contact for donors and external partners. He developed DUCOR’s business strategy, promoted and implemented solid waste collection and disposal schemes, and ensured compliance with national policies. He monitored quality control and consulted with residents, community groups, vendors and the Liberia Marketing Associations about solid waste management issues, identifying challenges, honoring requests and providing appropriate solutions to concerns and problems.

    Francis founded and operated the Little Achievers Preschool. He formulated the mission statement, organized the school and established performance goals and objectives to meet federal, state and local accreditation guidelines. He developed and set the academic tone, standards and managed the day-to-day activities and operations of three schools. He monitored students’ educational progress, hired, trained, evaluated and motivated teachers and staff of very diverse backgrounds. He set standards, goals and established policies and procedures required to achieve them. He visited classrooms; observed teaching methods, reviewed instructional objectives, and examined learning materials for proper curriculum evaluation. He handled relations with parents, prospective and current students, employers, and the local communities. Francis was responsible for preparing budgets and reports; including, evaluating attendance and student performance.

    In 1987, Mr. Nyepon established AMA Transportation Inc. AMA Transportation provided school van transportation services to students attending parochial schools in the greater Boston area. Francis spent a substantial portion of his career in the private student transportation industry in Boston, Massachusetts. He directed the operations of AMA Transportation while managing a very successful preschool program for underprivileged children in Boston. AMA Transportation provided safe, reliable and cost-effective transportation services to over 300 pupils, which helped students, get a safe start to school each day. The service delivered peace of mind to school officials, parents and caregivers. On weekends AMA extended its service to Boston Logan Airport by offering door-to-door airport shuttle services to Boston residents living in underserved inner-city neighborhoods.
