    Primary attorney responsible for regulatory compliance and enforcement matters for American Airlines and American Eagle Airlines before the FAA. Counseled carriers in connection with matters involving airworthiness directives, proper maintenance procedures, aircraft and equipment certification, airman training and qualification, acceptance and transport of dangerous goods and drug and alcohol testing requirements. Drafted and responded to Agency rulemaking proceedings. • Developed and implemented improved internal processes for responding to FAA investigation and enforcement matters resulting in reduction in legal enforcement proceedings and reduced fine amounts.• Directed carriers regulatory compliance during merger of three regional carriers (Simmons, Wings West, Flagship Airlines) and separate acquisitions of two large air carriers (Reno Air, TWA LLC) resulting in successful issuance of FAA single operating certificates. • Gained relief from burdensome regulatory requirements through successful petitions for exemption granted to the carrier.
