The Oxford Public International Law (OPIL) website is the umbrella site for several other Law Online products that reference the internationally relevant Oxford Law Citator. I was responsible for new digital content and metadata input and proofing, as well as authority file xml hyper-linking to the citator as appropriate. Whilst with OUP I was part of the successful launch of the OPIL ILEC and ITLD modules, the new FBL and PRIL modules of the OLRL product and two updates for the OSAIL product. It is fascinating work.I was also responsible for managing a team of specialist legal content freelancers.

Volunteer: teaching, cultural exchange and wildlife conservation
-
Jun 2013 - Sep 2013
After fundraising and planning for this trip for the early part of the year, I was in South-East Asia for 3 months and then travelled for a month in Australia and New Zealand.Volunteer English teacher at Thang Cong B Elementary school in Hanoi - vibrant, dynamic and fantastic, and that's not just the city! Volunteer on the Khmer Project cultural exchange based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia - every day was more interesting, I learnt so much and was consumed with admiration for everyone I met, including the other Europeans.Volunteer wildlife conservationist - specifically for seahorses - in a very remote village off the coast of Cambodia. Far out of my comfort zone, I accepted the challenge willingly, learnt to scuba dive, saw seahorses and divers 'in the wild' and met yet more amazing people.
