I was in charge to lead and coordinate the Lofting Engineering Team. Major duties: develop cooperative working relationships with other departments, and get members of my engineering team work together to accomplish goals.Activities developed by Engineering Services were:* BidsSupervising several engineering firm subcontracts that were used to develop all necessary works for the bid, and overseeing the final review by our specialists in each discipline. I provided technical direction, guidance and supervision to my engineering team to deliver bids on schedule. Review tender documents, preliminary engineering, develop Material Take Off (MTO’s), integrate equipments packages, review technical equipment proposals, filling out technical questionnaires and data sheets for equipments and the integration of technical catalogues; elaborating of scope of work for Lofting engineering and for loadout, seafastening, transportation and installation engineering analysis; all these according to basis document contest, annexes, specifications, etc. provided by the bidder.*Lofting EngineeringSupervision and coordination of the Lofting Engineering for projects, elaborate status of reports and activity programs for each discipline in relation with shop drawings, coordinate meetings with construction department to detect field needs, supervise with each specialist the Design Engineering for modifications or additions in the yard, supervise the loadout and seafastening engineering firm as well as the loadout manual.Besides of all these activities mentioned before; I developed procedures fo engineering Services Department, administrative control of engineering Men Hours subcontracted, monthly review of engineering services’ budget, establish annual goals for each personnel of my team, coordinate meetings with design engineering, vendors, subcontractors, etc., review project schedule; coordinate the document control department.
