Working in partnership with the Infrastructure Committee of the Cape Cod Technology Council, Mark Ells the Town Manager, the Hyannis Chamber of Commerce, the Business Improvement District (BID), and OpenCape to bring fiber to the immediate downtown area in Hyannis: North Street, Main Street and South Street. Ultimate goal is to balance the economy by providing the infrastructure that supports innovative and entrepreneurial opportunities. Barnstable County's wages fall dramatically behind the State and the Nation. Fiber is critical to addressing the wage gap.

In addition to being the Chair of the CCEDC, I ran the Grants Committee which implemented the Cape & Island License Plate fund grant program to benefit economic development on Cape Cod for 18 years. I also represented the CCEDC on the Smarter Cape Partnership. I built and maintained the CCEDC web site.(Wordpress) Note: Due to the rewrite of County Legislation, which was politically motivated to reformulate the CCEDC to primarily focus on the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy which is a product of the Cape Cod Commission, the CCEDC was disbanded, and repopulated with new members. The grants program has not functioned since this occurred in the fall of 2017.

Business Manager

I created a 24 month strategic plan for this organization and was then hired to implement the plan. The plan included expansion to a new territory. I expanded the sales force and created the Cape Cod Almanac--a new revenue producing product. The BOD and I had a difference of opinion and so I departed from this company. After my departure, the company replaced me with someone who they paid double my salary. He drove the company out of business within 9 months.
