    The NGM Conference is an initiative of the Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Team of the Nasir Giwa Mentorship Platform. For the third edition of this annual conference, I serve as the administrative manager, ensuring that every member of the conference committee is doing what they're supposed to do when they're supposed to do them. I track team progress, monitor each team's activities, and ensure that everything that goes into the planning and execution of this conference runs as smoothly as possible without delay.

    The onboarding team of the NGM Platform is responsible for periodic intake of members into the community. As a member of this team, I play an active part in ensuring that the community's standards are put in place in admitting new members into the community. I also play an active role in ensuring that individuals are well informed every step of the way before joining the community.

    As the content lead for the NGM Medical Team, a subset of the NGM Platform, I play an active role in ensuring that health-related content is released periodically, encouraging both members of the community and non-members to take charge of their health. I also work with a group of other members of this team, ensuring that each individual is involved and does what they're supposed to do at the right time.

    Health Proactivists Initiative is a youth-led non-profit organization that focuses primarily on non-communicable diseases, their preventive measures, treatment and care for individuals living with them. As the General Secretary for this organization, I'm solely responsible for:- liaising with the Program Manager to plan/coordinate regular executive meetings;- checking quorum (minimum number of members who should be present) present at meetings;-Proper documentation of meeting minutes and reiteration of the action plans to the executive committee members;-Working with the Program Manager and Board Advisory team to ensure the safe keeping of all the organisation’s official records;- liaising with various Team Leads to prepare and collate an impact report of the organisation’s activities for the year, which will be communicated to the HPI community- donors, volunteers, supporters, and the board;- sitting on appraisal, recruitment and disciplinary panels, as required;- other executive functions including but not limited to, attending planned executive meetings, local events representation and supporting projects review and execution online or in-person based on availability.

    Health Proactivists Initiative is a youth-led NGO focused primarily on addressing issues relating with non-communicable diseases in Africa and combating them. The main aim is to achieve Universal Health Coverage by 2030. As the lead for media and communications for this initiative, I'm saddled with the responsibilities of:- Collaborating with the recruitment team to establish a comprehensive communications team for HPI Africa;- Ensuring brand consistency across platforms aligned with our vision and values;- Developing and managing a content strategy with automated posting, considering key health days;- Coordinating with project teams for event coverage and content refinement;- Undertaking executive tasks such as attending meetings and representing at local events.This role aims to elevate the public image of this initiative, engage volunteers in content creation, and maintain a flexible yet consistent posting rhythm for our audience.
