    QFC Regulatory Authority, the independent regulator of the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), established to authorize and regulate firms and individuals conducting financial services in or from the QFC. Through its work in policy development, supervision and (where necessary) enforcement, the QFC Regulatory Authority operates to the highest international standards of regulation and best practice.Currently I am handling couple of IT Infrastructure and IT Security Projects.     Masraf Al Rayan is one of the most growing Islamic banks in middle east with paid up capital of $2 billion, 12 branches more than 500 staff members. I have been appointed in Masraf Al Rayan, during March 2008, for technical implementation of the new core banking system from ICBS to Equation. Since then I have been involved in various key projects of IT Operations and Infrastructure of the bank. I had the opportunity to formulate the Data Centre Operations, Technical Support and Helpdesk sections of the IT Dept., there by managing all the operations and support of the major financial applications.Currently my responsibilities include: Managing total IT Operations (Helpdesk + DCO + Tech. Support), Managing Data Centre, Helping in resolving the business / infrastructure / application / operational issues, The major accomplishments include: • Helpdesk Operations Enhancement for ITIL standard.• DC Infrastructure Upgrade to formulate Tier 3 Data Centre and fulfill the requirements of ISO27001. • Design, Development, Coding, Implementation of various utilities for reports distribution, statements printing alternatives, email statements, eAdvices etc. on iSeries (AS/400).• Design, development, coding and implementations of iSeries security software FireWalls, monitoring and alerting tools including FTP / TFTP / REXEC Client and Server / ODBC / RemoteCommand.• Design, implementation and testing of the DR Project for Core Banking System (Equation) and other financial applications including CCIS/EBA, TI, OPICS.• Formation of the Data Centre Operations Dept.• Technical implementation and migration of Core Banking System from ICBS to Equation with other major financial applications. • VMWare implementation, administration with 30+ servers.• Installation and Configuration of iSeries (525, V5R4) / SAN (DS8100, DS4800) /AIX (V5.3) / SNA (on cross platform AIX < -- > iSeries).
