• Design of specialised diving and submarine related equipment and systems.This comprises the complete development and production cycle: User requirement statement, concept generation, prototype manufacturing and evaluation, detail design, manufacturing for production, delivery, installation, testing, integration and documentation.• Engineering consultation to clients for specialised naval systems.• Financial and contract management of a complex multi-year project.This includes integrating and steering the client consortium, as well as sub-contractors on all matters regarding technical, financial and contractual.• Project management and team leader of a multi-disciplined group of engineers that does pioneering development work for the maritime defence industry.The disciplines involved include electronic, mechanical, mechatronic, logistic and systems engineering.• Conduct and co-ordinate test and acceptance trials for naval systems. This includes the generation of all acceptance test procedures and technical reports.• Perform integration and quality assurance on work completed for naval systems.• Provide design guidance for peers and juniors.
