    As a Building Cadet at Zauner Construction, I am currently contributing to construction works occurring at Simplot Bathurst, where I am based. This position is a key part of my journey in becoming a civil engineer, providing me with hands-on experience in the field.My responsibilities encompass:- Site documentation control and contract administration.- Collaborating with the design team to aid site management.- Monitoring subcontractors' work to ensure quality, adherence to specifications and schedules.- Assisting with the development and implementation of work programmes.- Promotion of a safe culture on-site while ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance.Through this role, I am applying and enhancing my civil engineering knowledge, while supporting in ensuring the efficient and effective execution of construction projects.

    Worked as part of teams for projects developing and modelling processing lines for 3 large commercial food processing companies to upgrade their manufacturing lines. Some work I have had personal responsibility for include designs for production companies and fabricators involved in areas such as mining, consumer product factories and local volunteer organisations. Examples of these designs include a specialised trailer, unique types of folding trolleys and specialised failsafe blast doors.I have had the opportunity to develop and deliver presentations to both clients and high school students, pitching designs with the aid 3D models running on a projector screen for the viewers to visualise. Collaborated with a local high school to provide tutorials on the use of Autodesk Inventor and some of its key principles to aid the students with their HSC Major works.I have taken part in the enhancement of the Risk Management processes within CDE. This included document the analysis of situations where mistakes were made, with the aim of eliminating them in future. This has also shown me the fundamental factors of working within a team and how to be more productive while doing so. It has improved my confidence to organise, run and facilitate discussions in meetings.
