As a small business owner, my primary tasks were managing the day to day operations of a Just-in-Time (JIT) perishables delivery service.Maintained a fleet of 8-14 drivers, providing delivery between 10am and 2am, 7 days per week. The Company's primary focus was providing contract food delivery services to restaurants within the Barrie, Ontario Area. We provided service to over 30 restaurants daily, transporting in excess of 200 orders per day. Performance metrics were constantly met, with Order Time to Delivery in less than 35 minutes this includes the restaurants individual food preparation time.All product was transported in temperature control containers, either to maintain heat or maintain coldness.Tru-Delivery provided over 100,000 residents the ability to receive perishable items from any restaurant, regardless of whether the chain offered delivery or just take out. We acted as a extension or cost effective alternative to restaurants maintaining part time staff, or those larger chains with a fleet of drivers to satisfy customer demand.Company was successfully sold and acquired by third party in November 2009.
