    My role as the Connexus Social Support Officer at Alzheimer's SA allows me to develop age appropriate social programs for individuals diagnosed with Younger Onset Dementia. As a result I have successfully established day respite programs for individuals with Younger Onset Dementia which is a first in South Australia. This enables those suffering with younger onset dementia are participating in age appropriate activities. I have also developed a successful monthly outing program organising various places of interest that people with younger onset dementia can experience. A large part of my role is also providing community awareness and I lecture to various community groups highlighting to individuals in the community about the importance of reducing ones risk of getting dementia.

    As a case manager at QBE my role was to achieve successful return to work outcomes for injured workers in the 0-78 week phase. This involved high level case management for high risk claims. I was required to attend to case conferences and to liaise with the injured workers, employers as well as their treating professionals. I was also chosen to be a part of the Proof of concept project which was to develop a new way of working for all case managers in the Melbourne Office. The learning's were then rolled out to the regional offices in Victoria. I was involved in assisting those with mental health stress workers compensation claims to return to work.
