The name of the project is the "Techno Park" development project. Basically, it is a Pre-cast building complex mix with many more conventional types of amenities. The client is the Ministry of Technologies and the principal Architect is Mr. Murad. Consultant- CECB. Currently, Project is on hold (30%-structural work completed) due to financial issues.

    The Foundation Stone for constructing a new building complex for the Faculty of Health Care Sciences, Eastern university of Sri Lanka, which is currently being functioned having renovated the grinding mill and the paddy stores complex of Paddy Marketing Board, was laid by Mr. D.M.P.K. Mayadunne, Secretary, Ministry of City Planning, Water Supply & Higher Education on 06/06/2016 at a land with an extent of 50 Acres in Pillayaradi, Batticaloa. The total amount of funds expected to be incurred for this project including foreign grants and also government funds is Rs. 7978 million. Accordingly, it is expected to incur Rs. 4500 million for construction works, Rs. 1740 million for furniture, vehicles, and medical equipment, and Rs. 380 million for engineering and consultancy services. Accordingly, it is expected to construct an administrative building, a building complex containing academic departments, lecture halls, laboratories, student centre and a canteen, auditorium, a library and a self-studying centre, lecture halls, hostels, academic and non-academic quarters, guest houses, playground and pavilion, primary health care centre, internal roads, landscaping, water tanks, and access roads, under this project. Similarly medical equipment amounting to Rs. 480 million have been already received under Austrian grants, and hostel facilities required for 600 students have also been received by now. It is scheduled to complete these constructions within two years and to be vested with students.This is the Medical Faculty cum Health Care Science unit for the Eastern University of Sri Lanka. The project exists over 50 Acres. The Client is the Ministry of Higher Education and the Consultant is MRC RNA joint venture consultancy company. Fund Source- Kuwait loan. Project value - approx. 4.5 Billion LKR (3 stages). The stage 1 and 2 are completed and the 3rd stage (landscaping and road network) is in progress.

    The proposed project is located on the coast of Colombo, having the oceanfront on the west side and Beira Lake on the east. Gensler of Los Angeles, California, has been appointed as the Concept Architect for the project and Surath Wickramsinghe Associates Sri Lanka as Architects on record. Further, Sterling Consultancy Services and Thornton Tomasetti Inc. have been engaged as structural consultants and peer reviewers, respectively.The project includes a 49-story Residential Tower (224-m) and a 28-story Hotel Tower (139-m), connected by a 54-m long sky-bridge at levels 19 and 21, featuring an exterior pool deck on its upper level and lounge/dining area on the lower level. A four-story podium surrounds the towers, providing space for lobby, retail, office, and special events. Four basement levels are dedicated for parking, MEP and back-of-the-house functions.There are two towers. The tallest tower is 49 storied (224 m) commercial skyscraper with 4 basements. The third tallest building in Sri Lanka at that time. ICC was responsible for total structures and masonry works.
