My chosen subject is 'the position of farming in the public consciousness'. I will be exploring this topic by investigating the rise in the interest of veganism as an indicator of an increasing disconnect between urban millennials and agriculture in order to have a greater understanding of how we, as an industry, should respond. I greatly appreciate the support of my generous sponsor, the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland.
