The role was to assist the Womenswear team in their lifestyle, Swimwear and Active collections: • Fitting garments at various sampling stages in the product cycle to a high standard and gathering accurate and thorough information to devise detailed Technical sheets/comments using Excel to send to international suppliers.• Devising Technical Packs, including: graded size specifications/measurments; Detailed technical illustrations; Technical sheets with fitting remarks and a clearly outlined bill of materials.• Keeping critical paths up to date and to a high standard, communicating changes through PLM systems effectively throughout the business internally and externally.• Developing Patterns and blocks for garments across all departments, as well as drafting mock ups in house to reduce sampling from suppliers. Undertaking 3D pattern drafting software courses with the Pattern team to achieve a clear communication of fit.• Constructing Risk assessment forms and Test Reports to ensure a high standard and quality across our collections based upon our GDI.• Organising and conducting fittings as well as Garment Wear trials, to ensure high functionality and performance of garment and the fabric technologies.Other Tasks: • Designed and developed a clear and concise fit booklet guide to explain the proposed fits for the upcoming season which was used during the Go To Market sales presentations.• Attended Modint headquarters for their Child Safety Seminar regarding safety rules for childrens wear; cords, attachment of small parts and chemical safety.• Assisting the Performance and Hybrid Design teams on Technical Sketch updates including trim proposals and designs for both Snow and Swim. • Further Opportunities/Tasks included assisting the Menswear and Childrenswear as a Technician during busy periods alongside my Womenswear role.
