    Participated in the daily care of cats including creation of daily diets, cleaning, enrichment, feeding, and operant conditioning of exotic cats, including servals, bobcats, hybrids, caracals, tigers, and a lion. Additional duties included landscaping of sanctuary and enclosures, perimeter checks of property, meat inventory, and logging animal behavior. Worked full days in all types of weather.

    Provided a positive experience for every guest by hosting informative talks at a variety of animal exhibits while appropriately relaying safety guidelines as needed. Trained incoming staff on daily schedules, radio calls, and standard protocols. Initiated contact with guests to provide interesting and helpful information about the animal collection. Responsible for loading and starting live animal shows as well as theater shows and scanning tickets. Some experience in filming virtual encounters.A part of “Scales and Tails” which included properly handling and monitoring reptiles while educating guests and allowing them to properly touch. Reptiles included spiny tailed lizards, spotted turtles, tortoises, and ball pythons.
