I also provided oversight for communications and marketing, working closely with a consultant and later hiring a full-time Communications and Marketing Manager. A few highlights from my time in this role:• Managed the strategic planning process, from RFP development and consultant selection to plan implementation• Secured multiple multi-year program grants from local philanthropic partners• Eight (8) applications to highly competitive state tax credit program (Neighborhood Assistance Program) awarded in span of 5 years• Submitted application to Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission for historic marker honoring NWWPA Founder Dorothy Richardson. Marker was dedicated on October 16, 2019.• Worked closely with marketing consultant in development of new brand identity, including new website, email signatures, brochures, and other marketing materials

    PCRG is a non-profit coalition of community-based organizations advocating for strong, healthy neighborhoods in the Pittsburgh area. Some highlights from my time at PCRG:• Developed and coordinated a leadership development scholarship program, allowing community leaders to earn professional development certificates through the NeighborWorks Training Institute • Developed targeted blight reduction program and submitted a tax credit application to fund the pilot program in a transitional neighborhood; we were awarded $155,000 in state tax credits• Coordinated an annual Pittsburgh Community Development Summit, which attracted more than 400 participants from throughout the region in its inaugural year• Managed committees on small business, community development, and public safety, including all policy and programming functions• Managed full-time and part-time staff and multiple contractors
