We researched the best way to create a reusable takeout container program within restaurants, the environmental benefits, including CO2 reductions, and sat down and talked with restaurant owners to gauge interest and information.

    Under the supervision of researcher Dr. Val Hall, I researched the reproductive cycles of local bay scallops to better understand how climate change affects numbers throughout the years. I collected samples on expeditions, sectioned, stained, and mounted slides, and conducted microscopy to study gonad reproductive stages. I also went on excursions to Woods Hole research centers and aquariums to speak with local environmental researchers.
