    This role focuss on converting the SHEQ Management System from OHSAS 18001 to ISO45001:2018, ISO9001:2015, and ISO14001:2015. I managed the process of converting the system and was instrumental in ensuring that the Mint was the first company to be certified in South Africa by DQS against ISO45001:2018 in June 2018. I was instrumental in the continuous improvement of the system resulting in the following achievements :Continuous reduction of injuries over the last 10 years, with a zero Disabling Incident Frequency Rate (DIFR) of 8/10 years, reduced the Lost Time Injury Frequency rate (LTIFR) from >1 to <0.5 consistently for the last six years, reduced medical treatment injuries with an average of 67% to <5 per annum.Developed and implemented a comprehensive company health strategic framework focusing on occupational health, primary health and health risk reduction. The result is a beautiful Clinic facility with quality equipment. We improved 57 vulnerable employees’ health and reduced their absenteeism through a continual monitoring program and utilising the services of a Dietician to educate staff, and healthy eating. The success of this program resulted in extending the scope of the program to other targeted risk groups.I was instrumental in developing all the COVID bio-risk assessments, policies, and procedures. My team successfully implemented the COVID management strategies resulting in containing work-related infections.I manage SHE CAPEX projects to reduce SHE and compliance findings. Examples are the installation of a covered waste storage facility, the installation of fire/heat detection in unprotected areas, the installation of online and handheld gas detectors for hazardous gasses, and flammable chemical storage facilities.Restructuring, the implementation of the electronic ISOMETRIX system, process mapping, and optimized resource management resulted in improved service delivery, monitoring, measurement, improved reporting, and risk management.

The aim was to standardize the management system, improve compliance, and the reduction of fatalities across all local markets. Through my dedicated focus, these objectives were achieved:* My dedicated focus to developing a shared HSE strategy, monitoring the local market objective to reduce fatalities. I ensure the continuous implementation of country specific HSE initiatives and programs. I facilitated the development of country specific HSE plans and monitored implementation through specific key performance indicators. * I developed HSE performance development (PD) targets and guidelines for Executive Heads and Managers.     The focus of the position was technical product development, production support, and quality control of production processes, and quality assurance on incoming raw materials and outgoing products. Under my leadership, we implemented a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for process analysis and control of the certificates of assurance (COAs). We developed new products and improved various formulations to make the products more cost-effective and stable. After implementing the LIMS system I enhanced the capability by adding the capability to administer external analysis requests through the LIMS (TSR) database. I implemented new methodologies to improve the testing of the performance of products to ensure that our products exceed and comply with the desired level of performance. My team was responsible for the approval of the use of alternative raw materials for manufacturing. I developed a laboratory quality assurance process to check, verify and control all product formulations, product purchasing specifications, and product acceptance specifications. My team was responsible for the daily laboratory testing and troubleshooting of trial batches for new products as well as batch reworking. I implemented a new system for the management of production retention samples, the regular inspections of the samples and the identification of corrective action when the quality of the samples deteriorate. Ensure that all nonconforming products are investigated, and corrective and preventative action is implemented. Responsible for the customer complaint management process.My responsibilities included laboratory resource development, managing the in-serve training program, and laboratory staff management. Budgeting, and cost control including equipment service/maintenance management. Implement, administer, and control QC analysis for raw materials, traded products, and products on the LIMS database.
