Request bids for projects and place orders with purchasing. Manage and organize project schedule throughout construction process and relay necessary information to respective department’s. Oversee the design, renovation, replacement and repair of building interiors and furnishings for University Housing and Dining. • Conduct periodic furniture and finishes inspections for condition and schedule items for repair.• Coordinate project interior finishes and furnishings along with their installation.• Implement work designated by the Director of Facilities and Operations.• Attend project planning and construction meetings • Assist with the selection of design consultants and act as liaison between consulting firms and UH&D.• Create and maintain a current database of UH&D finishes and furniture including details on type, warranty, locations, etc.• Serve the CAD drafting needs for UH&D.• Assist with in-house education of staff regarding finishes and furniture materials• Review and verify the quality and accuracy of design proposals including designs, contract documents, cost estimates and specifications.• Review and assist in editing construction documents.• Assist with space planning for personnel and equipment.• Consult with UH&D personnel relative to remodeling and construction projects.• Assist consultants with the development of specifications and related documents required for bidding and/or procurement.• Responsible for coordinating the repair of furniture for UH&D.
