    He has worked as a one-on-one coach to general managers and senior executives in companies in the hospitality industry, education, construction, manufacturing, retail and the government sectors. The main focus of his work revolves around the question of Leadership and its impact on both the business and the individual’s life.Involved in the organisation of the International Battery Association Annual Conference which was held in Cape Town, South Africa in April 2011. Specifically tasked with supporting the development of the technical program and management of the conference proceedings.Conference support continued when he was invited to play the same role for an international conference for High Performance Computing in Pretoria in December 2011.Currently contracted as the Program Coordinator for the International Conference on High Performance Computing to be held in December 2012.He enjoys many aspects of coaching including the specific enjoyment of dealing with cross-culture and gender challenges and playing a role in enabling people to reach and extend their potential, both personally and within a team

    Prior to embarking on a coaching career, Edward spent more than 20 years in a corporate role, concentrating initially on process and plant design of a facility to produce Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide (EMD) followed by manufacturing, research and development, marketing of a technically demanding product into the Primary Battery market and selecting and managing a developing management team while contributing at board level to the growth and development of a highly successful South African company. He initially held the positions of Plant Manager and Technical Director.While in the position as Managing Director, Edward worked and lived in Australia after the acquisition of a competitor where the challenge was to turn a failed company around.
