    Business Improvement Consulting.2014 : Completed a 6 month contract with a major electronics manufacturer in Johannesburg. I did a complete review of the factory operations with the objective of improving output and quality. I introduced new techniques for productivity enhancement and monitoring; introduced new quality systems; new jigs and tooling; new methods of scheduling to improve capacity; productivity improvements; packaging and labeling upgrade. Completed new factory layouts for current and new plant. I managed to improve their out put significantly, but more importantly I managed to reduce their order turn-around time from one week down to one day. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------In 2013, I completed a turnkey project for a design and supply company (Realise Product Design) : I was given the task of transforming this company from a supply company to a manufacturing and supply company. I was responsible for the entire project and I had to : find the premises, negotiate the lease, arrange for the power installation to be done, plan the entire factory, do the layout, procure machines, have the machines installed and commissioned, develop manufacturing, quality and accounting procedures, draw up standard operating procedures. All aspects of the project were done : business plan including detailed costing and product costing, site selection, machine selection, machine installation and commissioning, developed production scheduling system. The project was a huge success - it was completed within the allocated budget and time plan.Part time consulting : feasibility studies, production costings, Industrial Engineering, streamlining of management and operational processes, operational research, facilities planning and design.
