    I started Garden of Edith as a native plant nursery but found people were not well educated about native plants in my region of the country. I've since added writing and photography.

    I developed programs to education people about gardening and landscaping in dry climates. I also took calls, answered questions, and assessed the need for more educational programs.

    Planted and harvested vegetables. The vegetables I harvested I also collected data on such as how many per linear foot of a planted row and size of the vegetable. Made pest control, fertilizer, and irrigation decisions as well. At the end of the season an open house was held where I answered questions from members of the general public who attended.
